I had a good experience here once; thought they were fair and did a good job (always go to independent shops before taking my car to a dealership). I took my 2010 Ford Transit Connect back to them for a pretty simple fix: my windshield washer pump wasn't working. I explained what I thought the problem was, and they performed an inspection ($210) to tell me the pump wasn't working. They then ordered and installed a new pump. When I got my car back, the wiper fluid reservoir was leaking, one wheel was missing a hubcap, and the wiper fluid sprayers worked incorrectly: when activating the front wipers, the fluid sprayed onto the rear windows and vice-versa. I went back to explain. Said I was happy to take care of the hubcap, and said that it seems maybe the hoses to the pump are reversed. After taking another look at it, Mastertech claimed that the hoses can only go on one way because of their lengths. They suggested maybe the electronic switch is bad and told me I'd have to bring my car back for a diagnosis (although I had already paid for a thorough diagnosis of the same system). Of course, I declined. Mastertech rep went on to say "maybe you can fix it yourself." Well, I did just fix it myself--by reversing the hoses on the pump. No big deal, except that I paid Mastertech to do a job that they didn't complete. In fact, they returned my car in worse condition than before they performed their service. Turns out, my time also has value. You owe me $421.58.
